The construction sector is extremely harmful to the planet, contributing 39% of total global carbon emissions. Additionally, the waste is enormous. Most materials cannot be reused, and an astronomical amount of waste is generated every day by demolitions. There is also a lot of pollution from transportation, due to the intensive use of trucks. \u00a0The system our society uses to build is completely irrational, wasteful, and destructive. Not only is it one of the main contributors to climate change, producing more than a third of global carbon emissions and consuming 36% of the world's energy, but the level of waste is impressive.<\/span><\/p>\n

In most cases, the material from house walls is neither reused nor returned to nature as nutrients. We are depleting Earth's resources to make our houses while suffocating the planet with gases in the atmosphere.
